ADDITIONAL SUBJECTS
Music, Drawing, Drama, Recitation, Dance, Model, etc. are taught as Co-Curricular Subjects for students of lower standards
ART & CRAFT
Lessons on Art and Craft are imparted to the students by experienced teachers to embolden the creative instinct of the students, who make different handicrafts with clay, Plaster of Paris, paper, wood, bamboo, etc. by themselves.
GAMES & SPORTS
Following the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, here the students are allowed to enjoy games & sports with experienced games teachers for building strong and healthy bodies and minds.
MAGAZINE
An Annual Publication of ‘Vivek, designed as an ideal School Magazine, as well as wall Magazines is brought to light every year, mainly by the students with proper guidance of the Magazine Deptt., aiming at invigorating the instinct of Self-Expression and original thinking.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Intending to inculcate the rich and diverse Indian Culture in the young generation, every year we celebrate the Annual Cultural Ceremony, the National Red-Letter Days, and the birthdays of great men which are solemnly observed on our well-furnished stage.
KNOW THE ENVIRONMENT
In keeping with the newly prescribed syllabus of Environment Science, students of upper standards are taken out to surrounding places with Environment-Survey-Programmes twice in an academic year.
EDUCATIONAL TOUR / EXCURSION
A tour, meant for the students of upper classes, guided by the teachers, to places of natural/ historical / geographical interest is conducted yearly to ward off the monotony of daily routine and recharge them with energy and enthusiasm in an open atmosphere.
PRIZES & AWARDS
Every year students who show their excellence in different Academic, Cultural and Sports Programs, are rewarded with medals, certificates and material prizes in the Annual Celebration. Besides, the students are felicitated with K. C. Patel gold plated silver medals as a mark of excellence in the Madhyamik Pariksha of WBBSE every year.

PARENTS
Parents/ Guardians are requested to co-operate with the School Authorities by:
1. urging their wards to be regular (90% attendance) & punctual in attendance (positively before the arrival time).
2. following up the reports of diligence in studies and behavior of their wards at school.
3. meeting the Head of the Institution from time to time discuss the ways of bringing about better progress of their children.
4. going through the Reports in the School Diary on the Lessons given daily.
5. insisting on neatness and cleanliness in their dresses, textbooks, exercise books, etc.
6. supplying plain and substantial tiffin and a bottle with pure drinking water, daily.

If you find any blind boy or girl (6 to 12 years), please send him / her to us or inform us without late for his/her proper education in the “Resi dential School for the Blind”, run under the auspices of the Vivekananda Mission Asram.
