Prayer Hall

While education helps in preparing individual with the weapon of knowledge, recognizes the need to enlighten the soul. Some of its efforts are aimed at insig spirituality among its students and to make acknowledged the rich cultural heritage or old. Towards this end, VMA has built Prarthana Sabhagriha and conducts regular spiritual and cultural activities annually.

Cultural activities :
• Literature classes in schools comprising of the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, biographies of Sri Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda and Maa Sarada Devi and others.
• Indian cultural classes in schools and colleges.
• Symposiums on higher values of life.
• Observance of birthdays of great National Leaders of India.

Muktidham : Muktidham consists of two elegant Sabhagrihas which are built to reflect traditional Indian heritage. It was inaugurated in March 1999 for community prayer, meditation and reading of scriptures. Muktidham plays the role of reinforcing the cultural and spiritual foundation of people. It has been identified as a special tourist spot by the Haldia Development Authority under the Govt. of West Bengal
Spiritual activities :
• Morning and evening prayers in Muktidham and in all hostels.
• Performance of Japa, Meditation and Devotional songs.
• Reading from Sri Ramakrishna Kathamrita, Srimad Bhagwad Gita and the Upanishads.
• Discourses on different faiths/ Spiritualism by monks and other eminent speakers.
• Observance of birthdays of Avataras and great Saints of all faiths.
• Worship of Gods and Goddesses.
